SECOND PRIZE FOR THE ARCHITECTURE FACULTY

The design team including our instructor Dr.Seray Türkay Coşkun, our part-time instructor Esatcan Coşkun, our graduate Gökçe Naz Soysal and our research assistant Çağrım Koçer have been awarded with second prize in "Theodosius Port Archeological Site Architectural Project Competition", that is organized by İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality. We congratulate our collagues.

KAPSAM [OBJECTIVE]

Bulvarın Yazıları Atölyesi, Atatürk Bulvarı’nda kullanılan görsel iletişim elemanlarını, semiyotik bir okumayla, eleştirel biçimde analiz etmeyi amaçlar.

 

Atölye çalışması, sabah seansında Dr. Öğretim Üyesi Halime Fişenk Türkkan’ın yapacağı sunuş ve öğleden sonra yapılacak disiplinlerarası stüdyo çalışmasından oluşur.

Opening Lecture_SHAPING THE FUTURE: ARCHITECT’S ROLE

Our world is changing at a pace faster than ever before. Significant urban population growth is predicted over the next decades, which points to a high demand for housing. The world is in a phase of urbanizing at a rate unprecedented in human history. There is growing scarcity of shelter, food, water and energy.Transformations in environmental, technological, political, economic and social realms are reshaping our environments, our society, and our lives. The key to a better world calls for a generation that views these challenges as opportunities.

Exhibition: Ankara with Maps and Plans

The presentation and opening coctail of the exhibition titled "Ankara with Maps and Plans, Baykan Günay Archive" will be held on 28th June, 2017 at 15:00 in TEDÜ Ahmet Ersan Conference Hall. The exhibition will be run from 28th June, 2017 to 5th July, 2017 in Fatma-Semih Akbil Foyer Area. All interested are welcome.

* The exhibition is prepared by Cansu Canaran, Assist.Prof.Dr. of City and Regional Planning Department at TEDU with the personal collection of Baykan Günay, the Head of TEDU City and Regional Planning Department.
