TEDU hosted the first Model United Nations Education and Development Conference (MUN) 2021.
The conference lasted two days with the participation of 270 high school students and 80 university students from various provinces of Turkey and TEDU will also be hosting the second conference to be held in the first quarter of 2022 which will be more extensive.
On 22 December 2021, Assistant Professor Duygu Onay Coker will be talking about peace journalism as right-based journalism, not a situation of ceasefire or lacking war/conflict but for all times journalism enriched within the focus of peace. It can be described as journalism when reporting tension or conflict without inciting violence.

Nurbanu Canbaz, second year student in the Department of Computer Engineering, has been admitted to the Tübitak 2247 – C STAR (Intern Researcher Scholarship) Program. Within the scope of the program, Nurbanu will participate in the project titled “Personalized Virtual Reality Assisted Neurovascular Surgery Planning and Training Simulator.”

The 7. TSMD Architecture Students Project Exhibition "Basamaklar" (Steps), organized by the Turkish Association of Freelance Architects, will be held at TSMD Architecture Center on December 10.

Zeynep Beyza Uçar, second year student in the Department of Software Engineering, has been admitted to the Tübitak 2247 – C STAR (Intern Researcher Scholarship) Program. Within the scope of the program, Zeynep Beyza will participate in the project titled “Quantitative Thermal Imaging Calibration System” on building a system for the calibration of thermal cameras in compliance with ISO standards and developing algorithms for thermographic image analysis.
Human Rights Awareness Training by our Faculty
Our faculty members Prof. Dr. Şebnem Akipek Öcal, Prof. Dr. Aylin Özman Erkman, Asst. Prof. Dr. Selin Akyüz and Asst. Prof. Dr. Gülşen Seven have launched training programs within the scope of the project titled “Raising Young Human Rights Defenders” supported by the Netherlands Embassy Human Rights Fund. To this end, our faculty members have given a presentation to 9th and 10th grade students at TED Karabük College, the first step of the project.

TEDU Passed the CoHE Audit Successfully
Our university has successfully passed the General Audit of Foundation Higher Education Institutions for the Academic Year 2020/2021. The audit was conducted by the Audit Board Members of the Council of Higher Education between November 8th and 9th, 2021.
