The aim of the course is to deal with the historical evolution of humanity from the first civilizations up to 1850. The course aims to develop a particular consciousness about human history in terms of the development and transformation of civilizations, economic systems, technological inventions, gender, social changes, cultural productions and political developments.
Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to

2. Gain a particular insight about what “human” and “humanity” is [1, 4].
3. Refer to history for thinking and even finding effective solutions to contemporary problems [2, 3, 6, 7].
4. Develop particular reasoning by making historical comparisons [6, 7, 8].
5. Develop complex argumentation skills in speech and writing [6, 8].
