John Michael Flynn

John Michael Flynn earned an undergraduate degree in English from Roger Williams University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan. In 2015, he served for one year in Khabarovsk, Russia under the US Department of State English Teaching Assistant Program. In 2017 he worked as writer in residence at Carl Sandburg House in Connemara, North Carolina. His poetry work includes a translatıon into English of Nicolae Dabija's signature collection Blackbird Once Wild Now Tama, and a number of his own collections including Moments Between Cities, and Restless Vanishings, and Keepers Meet Questing Eyes ( ). He has published two novels under the pen name of Basil Rosa ( ) wıth Jaffa Books of Australia ( He has also published three short story collections, his most recent one, Off To The Next Wherever, with Fomite Press of Burlington, Vermont( ). He has earned writıng awards from the U.S. Peace Corps, and the New England Poetry Club.
