Catalog Description
Basic concepts of investment analysis. Characteristics of financial markets and financial instruments. Portfolio construction and management. Investment valuation and asset pricing models.
Course Objectives

This course introduces the basic concepts of investment analysis in financial markets. The main objective is to help students develop an understanding of the characteristics of financial markets and financial instruments. Theories related to portfolio construction and portfolio management, investment valuation, asset pricing models will also be covered.

Software Usage
Students will use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) to work on their weekly assignments about 2 hours a week.

2. Describe the principles of financial investments
