Catalog Description
Basic concept of law and right to be educated. Indicators of educational attainment. Groups that cannot access to education (exclusion from education) and their profiles. School act (Responsibility of the schools, right and responsibilities administrators-teachers-parents- students involvement of administration, school records and their confidentiality. Violence of schools. Disciplinary law of education. Registration and admission protocols of the schools. School type and their legal dimensions. Violance of the right to education and application mechanisms. Children act/ Student rights paticipatory mechanisms in school. Educational law and ethics. Legislation for Educational Administration. Responsibilities of the schools.
Course Objectives
Okul yönetimi pratiklerinden hareketle, eğitim hakkı ve eğitim hukukunun içeriği nedir? Tüm çocukların kaliteli eğitime erişiminin sağlanmasında çocuk dostu okul ortamlarının kurulabilmesi için takip edilmesi gereken hukuka uygun pratiklerin geliştirilmesinde merkezi politikalar, okul yönetimi, öğretmenler, öğrenciler ve veliler açısından hak ve sorumluluklar nelerdir? Kaliteli eğitimi talep edecek olan çocuk ve ailenin bu ihtiyacı hissetmesi ve talep etmesi için gerekli güvenilir ve sade bilgi nedir? Eğitime ilişkin mevcut hukuki ve idari düzenlemeler sade ve anlaşılır biçimde erişilebilir midir? Eğitim sistemi içinde ve dışında hak arama yolları konusunda mevcut durum ve uygulama nasıldır? Eğitim hakkının hayata geçirilmesinde okul içi mekanizmalar nelerdir, nasıl çalışır, nasıl olmalıdır?

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. eğitimin temel bir hak olarak gerekliliklerini ve sistemik etkilerini fark eder
2. eğitim hukukunun temel kavramları konusunda anlayış geliştirir ve eğitimin bir hayırseverlik olmaktan çıkıp temel bir hak olarak algılanması konusunda disiplinlerarası bir anlayış kazanır.
3. eğitim yönetimi pratiklerini bu anlayış doğrultusunda yeniden gözden geçirme konusunda isteklilikleri artar.
