Catalog Description
Major concepts and theoretical approaches in comparative politics. Democracy, breakdowns and transitions. Political structures and institutions. Political parties and party systems. Social movements. Class analysis. Systems analysis.
Course Objectives
The major objective of this course is to introduce students to the key concepts, theories and methods of comparative approach to politics. The course aims to familiarize the students with the institutional structures of various political systems.
