Catalog Description
Political theory in 20th century. Liberalism, Marxism, post-Marxism, structuralism, post-structuralism, de-constructivism, and post- modernism.
Course Objectives
The major aim of this course is to explore the key concepts, approaches and debates in 20th century political theory. The course provides a critical survey of basic trends of thought including liberalism, marxism, post-marxism, structuralism, post-structuralism, deconstructivism, and post-modernism.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Demonstrate knowledge of key concepts, approaches and debates in 20th century political theory.
