Ahmet Çörtoğlu

Mr. Ahmet Çörtoğlu was born in 1962 in Sivrihisar, Eskişehir. He graduated from TED Ankara College in 1980 and from Ankara University, Faculty of Law in 1988, completing his legal internship at the Ankara Bar Association.

Since 1988, Mr. Çörtoğlu has been a self-employed lawyer registered with the Ankara Bar Association. He served as General Secretary of the Ankara Bar Association between 1998 and 2000 and as a member of the Turkish Bar Association Delegation from 2004 to 2006. He was also a Board Member of the Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation of Turkey’s Lawyers from 2000 to 2014.

He has served as a Turkish Executive Committee Member for the European Union Judicial Modernization and Penal Reform Program. On June 29, 2006, he was elected as a member of the TED Ankara College Foundation Board of Trustees, later serving as Chairman of the Board until April 2018.

Mr. Çörtoğlu is a founding member of the TED Higher Education Foundation and continues to serve as a founding member of the Board of Trustees at TED University.

He is married and a father of one.
