Completing his architectural education in France and USA in 1986, Can Aker has started his professional career as an architect and worked in New York for four years.
Between the years 1990-93, he not only worked as an architect in İstanbul but also involved with architectural publications, especially with the publication of the Arkitekt magazine. Since 1993, he has worked in EMT –Erimtan Construction Firm and continued his practices in the field of construction industry. He is still a member of the executive board and committee of Gama and EMT Firm and Erimtan Culture and Arts Foundation. Aker has recently finalized Erimtan Archeology and Arts Museum in Ankara, in which he also worked as a project and construction coordinator, together with Prof. Dr. Ayşen Savaş and Assistant Prof. Dr. Onur Yüncü.
