Understanding & Using Assessment
The seminar will be focused on the theme of “Assessment of and for Learning.” The aim of this seminar is threefold: (a) To examine several types of assessment that aim to check and/or improve student learning; (b) To provide participants with tools, tips and strategies for conducting meaningful and purposeful assessments in their respective courses; and (c) To discuss the issues related to assessment (learning outcomes/standards, grading, teacher beliefs and practices, student experiences and change).
