TED University entitled to receive 5-year full accreditation by THEQC!

Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) has approved institutional accreditation for our University valid for 5 years within the scope of “Institutional Accreditation Program” for the first time ever in higher education in Turkey.

Quality assurance system of the universities aims to increase the contribution of Turkish universities at national level and improve their visibility in the world through the Institutional Accreditation Program which enables an evaluation of the education and training, research and development, social contribution and administrative procedures.

What is the Institutional Accreditation Program?

The Institutional Accreditation Program, coordinated by THEQC, is consisted of three stages of evaluation including pre-visit, remote visit and site visit, following the meeting of the evaluation teams commissioned by THEQC. Universities have been evaluated in terms of 22 criteria and 56 sub-criteria under the headings like Quality Assurance System, Education and Training, Research and Development, Social Contribution Activities and Governance Systems. The evaluation team prepares an Institutional Accreditation Report and submits it to THEQC.  The council evaluates the maturity level of quality assurance system and grants either “full accreditation” for 5 years or “provisional accreditation” for 2 years to the universities.
