The concept of Mechatronics, examples of mechatronic systems, sensors, sensoe fusion, actuators, control systems, estimation and identification, case studies.
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
LO1. Students will be able to define the mechatronic components in a complex mechatronic system;
LO2. Students will be able to understand the difference of a mechatronic design approach from a just control system design;
LO3. Students will be able to collect and analyze data to identify the characteristics of a mechatronic system;
LO4. Students will be able to design and implement basic control systems for a mechatronic system.
LO5. Students will be able to understand the differences between the analog and digital control systems.
