Catalog Description
Design, implementation, and integration of a comprehensive electrical and electronics engineering system. Identification of needs and constraints for the design problem. Investigation of possible solutions to the design problem. Identification of preliminary design choices and parameters. Performing a preliminary design for the design problem. Determination of preliminary design parameters. Preparation of a detailed report documenting the preliminary design. Technical communication and teamwork skills.
Course Objectives
This course aims to design, simulate, and implement electrical or electronic circuits, systems, or software for specific tasks in electrical engineering. The course also enables student to identify requirements and limitations, explore potential solutions, set preliminary design choices and parameters, and perform a preliminary design.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successfully completed this course, students will be able to:
(1) List the needs and constraints associated with the senior design project,
(2) Express the background information obtained through literature research,
(3) Analyze various solutions, comparing their advantages and disadvantages for the senior design project,
(4) Decide a preliminary design for the senior design project while assessing the design choices made in the process,
(5) Write technical reports that comprehensively document the entire preliminary design process,
(6) Demonstrate an active role in teamwork, exemplifying professional and ethical responsibility throughout the project.
