Foreign policy decision making processes. Political, social, economic, and psychological factors affecting the process. Decision making models. International crisis management.
Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to provide the students with an overview of the foreign policy decision making process.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Investigate the foreign policy decision making process
2. Describe and compare the various decision-making models
3. Depict the four levels of analysis
4. Analyze the political, social, economic and psychological factors affecting the foreign policy decision making process
5. Compare group think and the problems of single actor decisions
6. Discuss international crisis management
