Catalog Description
Quality control systems. Fundamental statistical methods. Control charts. Graphical methods. Quality standards and application of design of experiments to quality control.
Course Objectives

The main aim of this course is discuss quality concepts, quality management tools, total quality management and its industrial applications. The students will discover the usage statistical analysis in measuring and evaluating product and process quality.

Software Usage
Students will use statistical software packages such as MINITAB and SPSS.

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Explain quality systems and standards
2. Discover total quality management and customer oriented production and distribution
3. Define the components of quality control system and its importance for competitive advantage
4. Identify the importance of statistical tools to evaluate product and process quality
