Dr. Sırma Karakaya received her B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, her M.Sc. degree from Middle East Technical University, and her Ph.D. from Özyeğin University. During her doctoral studies, she was involved in various national and international research projects. Since February 2025, she has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at Kühne Logistics University. Her research focuses on disaster management and improving healthcare management in the aftermath of disasters.
