Selçuk Pehlivanlıoğlu was born on 1963 and he graduated from the TED Ankara College in 1981.
In 1987 he graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Civil Engineering and worked in Germany as a civil engineer for a short period.
He continued his professional life as the Director General in Sepe Construction Trade and Industry Company and established the Anavatan Party Volunteer Group on 1993 which was the beginning of his political career. On 1997 he became the Vice President of Organization and was elected as a member of the Central Executive Board.
He was nominated as a deputy candidate from Ankara on the 1999 general elections and from 1999 to 2001 he took office as the General Vice President and the President of the Subsidiary Organizations.
In 2002, he took Office as the General Vice President, President of the Election Affairs and the Volunteer Group. Selçuk Pehlivalıoğlu has been serving as the President General of Turkish Education Association since 2003.
Selçuk Pehlivanoğlu is currently holding office as the Director General of Turkish Education Association, TED Higher Education Association Founder and TED University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
He is married and is the father of two children.
