Dr. Kübra Çelikdemir completed her doctoral program in Elementary Education (Mathematics Education) at Middle East Technical University in 2018. Her dissertation delved into an in-depth analysis of pre-service mathematics teachers' noticing skills and professional identities, employing a video case-based community approach.

Dr. Çelikdemir holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Mathematics Education and a master's degree in Secondary Education Science and Mathematics Education, both from Middle East Technical University. Throughout her graduate studies, she concentrated on international assessment and comparative mathematics education.

Working Experience

Since February 2021, Dr. Çelikdemir has been contributing her expertise to the TEDU Department of Primary Education. 

Commencing her career as an Educational Designer at an educational company situated in METU Technopolis, Dr. Çelikdemir subsequently served as a research assistant at both METU and Gazi University during her doctoral education. Throughout this period, she actively participated in numerous national and international projects, showcasing her dedication as a scholar and researcher. From 2018 to 2021, she held the position of Education Specialist at the Turkish Education Association think tank TEDMEM.

Research Interests

Dr. Çelikdemir's research interests span various aspects of education, including mathematics education, teacher education, alternative assessment approaches in primary schools, international exams (PISA & TIMSS), and the Turkish education system. Her diverse range of experiences and contributions reflect her commitment to advancing educational practices and methodologies.
