İstasyonTEDÜ becomes Community Hub at Social Enterprise World Forum

Social Enterprise World Forum (SEWF), which was held in Scotland in 2008 for the first time ever, is the flagship annual event for the global social enterprise community. İstasyonTEDU hosted the in-person community hub of the 2021 event.

SEWF has been organizing forums for 13 years in many different cities bringing social enterprise ecosystems together to offer its stakeholders a platform to exchange opinions. In order to strengthen local ties, SEWF has designated in-person community hubs to follow this year’s event. To this end, İstasyonTEDU Center for Social Innovation has become one of the 20 community hubs worldwide.

The event was held online and the participants attended a number of sessions, each based on a different theme including social procurement, employment, creative economy, climate change, circular economy, donut economy, etc.  Over 3000 stakeholders from 131 countries have attended the sessions including social enterprises, support organizations, non-profit organizations, private sector representatives, social procurement employees, policymakers, academicians, fund-raisers, intra-company entrepreneurs, youth networks. Participants from over 100 countries delivered talks on a variety of topics such as youth, gender mainstreaming, climate change, circular economy, social procurement and the impact of COVID-19, etc.
