Catalog Description
The definition, scope and history of comparative education. Method and research in comparative education. The comparison of the education systems of different countries in terms of structure, operation, school levels, human resources, educational financing, privatization in education. Policy-making, planning and application in education. Sexuality, social justice and equality in education in different countries. Educational reform and innovation attempts in different countries. Teacher education/school manager education systems in different countries. Globalization and internationalization in education. International exams, institutions and organizations related to education.
Course Objectives

This course aims to offer information about the differences of education systems used all around the world. In this regard, the course aims to take a close look at the structural, operational, financial differences among education systems.
