The aim of this course is to provide detailed information about the meaning and understanding of pedagogical documentation in early childhood for making children’s learning visible, identify assessment strategies and tools to recognize the importance of usage of pedagogical documentation, identify the cyclical process of pedagogical documentation, be aware about why and how observation techniques are applied during pedagogical documentation, create assessment tools in order to evaluate the learning process designed by the teacher, be aware importance of stakeholders’ (teacher-children-parent) partnership in assessing young children.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- define pedagogical documentation,
- identify the assessment strategies and tools to create pedagogical documentation,
- apply assessment tools to create pedagogical documentation,
- practice the cyclical nature of pedagogical documentation,
- plan activities based on information gained from pedagogical documentation,
