Catalog Description
Basic concepts in religious and ethics teaching. Concepts of religious and morality. Islam and other religions. Concept of faith. Conditions of faith in Islamic religion. Basic principles of Islam. The concept of worship. Ethics and principles of morality related to individual and society. Basic values and teaching of life, examining primary school religious and ethics curriculum. Gains, content, teaching approaches, assessment of learning.
Course Objectives

This course aims to support students to develop an in-depth understanding of basic concepts of Religious and Ethics education and teaching and learning strategies, methods and techniques used in. In addition to this, by taking this course they will design learning-teaching processes by using appropriate strategies. Also they will argue measurement and evaluation techniques that can be used in teaching and learning process.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

 

  1. discuss the necessity of Religious and Ethics Course in anthropological, social, cultural, universal, philosophical and legal terms,
  2. analyze the meaning and importance of Religious and Ethics in terms of its contribution to the development of the individual by considering developmental processes,
  3. discuss the strategies, methods and techniques that can be used in Religious and Ethics education,
  4. design learning-teaching processes by using appropriate strategies, methods and techniques for Religious and Ethics education,
  5. examine the issues to be considered in the teaching of verse, hadith, sure and prayer in religious culture and ethics education,
  6. argue measurement and evaluation techniques that can be used in Religious and Ethics course.
