Catalog Description
Infinite sequences and series. Power series. Taylor series. Vectors, lines and planes in three dimensions. Multivariable function concept. Limit of functions of two variables. Continuity. Partial derivatives and applications in functions of two variables. Double integral and its applications. Polar coordinates.
Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to introduce students the functions of several variables, provide information about limits, continuity, partial derivatives and applications in two variable functions, double integrals and their applications.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: 

  1. recognize multivariable functions, 
  2. explain the concept of limit and continuity in multivariable,
  3. apply the calculations of partial derivatives in multivariable, 
  4. implement the applications of derivation in two variable functions,
  5. explain the concept of double integral, 
  6. calculate the area with the help of double integral.
