Catalog Description
Conceptualization of spatial design through the lens of art and visual culture. Artistic elements, historical movements, and cultural expressions as integral components of interior environments. Development of design proposals that incorporate artworks, sensory experiences, and interdisciplinary perspectives beyond conventional design approaches.
Course Objectives

This course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the integration of art into interior design, with a focus on exploring spatial aesthetics through historical and contemporary artistic frameworks. It emphasizes creative and conceptual value of interdisciplinary thinking beyond conventional design norms. The course enables students to engage with themes such as materiality, cultural context, sensory experience, and sustainability. Through project-based work and visual analysis, students are expected to develop original interior design concepts inspired by artistic expression.
