Catalog Description
Introducing students to the practice of creative writing. Studying and composing poetry. Focusing on and producing pieces of creative prose writing.
Course Objectives

The main objective of this course is to allow students to learn about literature by composing original creative pieces of their own. In so doing, it aims to teach them about how texts are constructed and to help them to gain conceptual insights as well as practical skills that may be applied to their wider studies.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 
1. Explore the various methods and techniques used in the production of pieces of creative writing,
2. Practice creative writing in prose and poetry, 

3. Revise their work in response to constructive feedback,

4. Analyze their own work from an objective point of view in order to evaluate its merits,
5. Utilize the knowledge they acquire during the course to create new works of both verse, fiction and critical writing.
