Catalog Description
In line with the knowledge and skills gained over the past 7 semesters of industrial design education, combination of contemporary design theories and individual design methods -with a critical and professional approach- for innovative design solutions for real-life design problems.
Course Objectives

This course aims to provide students with their first professional experience in a controlled semi-professional environment. Every detail of the graduation project is under the control of the instructors and is supported/consulted by an external partner which can be an industrial company, design consultancy, governmental or non-governmental organization, and so on.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to; 

1. Outline their own design knowledge, skills and preferences, and select the appropriate sector to work with. 

2. Manage to work with professional parties on a real-time design project.

3. Interpret the design problem provided by the external partner and redefine it according to his/her design approach. 

4. Use design terminology, and visualizations skills effectively to communicate with the people in the professional environment. 

5. Use appropriate media to share phases throughout the design process with the instructors and the external partner.

6. Complete the design process on-time by having all the requirements fulfilled; and presents it verbally and visually (2D and 3D), accompanied by a comprehensive design progress report.
