General computer-aided design (CAD) terminology; CAD user interface and drawing editor. Technical drawing concepts: orthographic drawing, isometric and oblique projections, and sectioning. Basic dimensioning techniques. Plotting and printing techniques. Introduction to model space and paper space concepts. Civil engineering applications; modeling a sample 3D building with BIM software.
