The aim of the senior project is to provide design exercise that challenges students to work within constraints and adhere to engineering standards. In the EE 491 course, students present a preliminary design. In this subsequent course, includes designing a system, component, or process to fulfill specific requirements, analyze design options, create prototypes, conduct testing and evaluation, and enhance the design through iterative improvements.
Upon successfully completed this course, students will be able to:
(1) Explain software/hardware prototype components and features for prototype production,
(2) Analyze design choices and parameters iteratively, interpreting findings and justifying subsequent steps,
(3) Assess final design decision parameters considering relevant criteria and evidence,
(4) Write technical reports that comprehensively document the design process, encompassing all stages and decisions made,
(5) Discuss the final design through poster presentation,
(6) Demonstrate active, effective, professional, and ethically responsible team role throughout the project.
