Definition of adulthood, characteristics of adulthood period, school counseling services and adults, adult learning styles, problems during adulthood, characteristics of adult educators, educational principles, instructional methods and techniques, types of curriculum, and learning environments for adults.
Course Objectives

The main aim of this course is to introduce the chracteristics of adulthood and lifelong learning.

Course Learning Outcomes
  1. Interpret the developmental challenges of adulthood including career, family, and aging concerns.
  2. Contrast the extent to which various adult learning theories address the concept of “adultness” and to what extent the theories identify significant aspects of adult learning.
  3. Contrast the implications for teaching suggested by various adult learning theories.
  4. Demonstrate instructional methods that apply adult learning theory and principles.
