Catalog Description
Psychosocial development, gender and related concepts, models and theories; gender roles, stereotypes, scales and related studies; gender and education, development within the gender equality, gender and process of psychological counselling.
Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to inform students about gender equality.
Course Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students will be able to
1) Understand what causes inequality between women and men
2) Explain how does it arise, why does it take different forms, why does it vary in degree across societies, what are the components that add up to gender inequality,
3) Define how do various institutions and practices contribute to it,
4) Understand how does it change with an emphasize on history of gender inequality.
