Şevket Özer Kürkçüoğlu

Şevket Özer Kürkçüoğlu is an incubator center manager, strategist, and mentor who combines the analytical and theoretical depth of mathematics and philosophy with 20 years of professional experience in technology entrepreneurship and the innovation ecosystem.

He graduated from the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Middle East Technical University (METU), specializing in cryptography. He also completed his master's studies in the Department of Philosophy within METU’s Humanities Division, writing a thesis on Chaos Theory.

With deep experience in technology-focused business development, ecosystem design, and company formation processes, Kürkçüoğlu has previously managed some of Türkiye’s leading incubation centers, including TOBB ETÜ TTO Garage Incubation Center and METU Technopolis ATOM (Digital Game Incubation Center).

His experience in sectoral and institutional technology projects spans a wide range of fields, from the digital gaming industry to highly confidential military projects.

He supports both the academic and practical dimensions of the entrepreneurship ecosystem through educational programs. As a TÜBİTAK-Certified Business Mentor (TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB 1601 Program), he has been providing training and mentoring to hundreds of technology startups under the TÜBİTAK Individual Young Entrepreneur (BiGG) Program since 2015. Through the UNHCR Habitat IMECE project, he has also guided refugee entrepreneurs throughout their entrepreneurial journeys.
