Tarık Uzun

Tarık Uzun completed his BA in Linguistics at Hacettepe University in 2005 and earned his MA (2013) and PhD (2019) in Foreign Language Teaching from Ankara University. As a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar, he conducted his doctoral research on second language pronunciation at Iowa State University’s Department of Applied Linguistics and Technology during the 2017–2018 academic year. He has worked primarily as an English instructor in higher education and is currently based at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University School of Foreign Languages. He is a committee member of IATEFL PronSIG and co-editor of its biannual publication, Speak Out!. His research interests include pronunciation instruction, intelligibility, and foreign accent.
