TED University Embarks on a Holistic Transformation Journey in Higher Education with "TEDUOne"

With the launch of the TEDUOne program on April 1st, Ankara-based TED University (TEDU) is implementing a holistic model that transforms its institutional structure from top to bottom.

TED University (TEDU) officially announced the commencement of the “TEDUOne” institutional transformation program—a vision-defining initiative for the university’s future—at a launch event held in Ankara on April 1st. Representing a comprehensive transformation journey, the program consolidates all academic and administrative processes under a single vision. It aims to establish data-driven management, integrated processes, and an end-to-end student experience. As one of the few foundation universities in Türkiye with THEQC (YÖKAK) accreditation, TEDU aims to reinforce its pioneering role in the digital transformation of higher education through this program.

Sharing his evaluations during the launch, TEDU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Levend Parnas stated: “Today, we are not just launching an IT project; we are initiating an institutional transformation program. With TEDUOne, which we envision as the higher education model of the future, we are meeting today’s needs while simultaneously laying the foundations of a university structure powered by data and artificial intelligence.”

TEDU’s transformation journey, which began on April 1st, will reach a significant milestone when the program goes live on September 1st. Following a transition period of less than 24 hours, all university structures will be integrated into the new system simultaneously, with the support and stabilization phase concluding by December 1st.

A Holistic Approach to Transformation

Shaped in alignment with the University’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, TEDUOne focuses on strengthening a data-driven decision-making culture on an institutional scale. The program leaves behind fragmented systems and scattered data structures in favor of a "single source of truth," a unified institutional intelligence, and an integrated management model. This approach will not only enhance operational efficiency but also strengthen institutional transparency and accountability.

Centering on the standards required by THEQC (YÖKAK) accreditation—a critical threshold for quality assurance and institutional competency in higher education—the program ensures that processes are no longer person-dependent. Instead, it strengthens institutional memory and guarantees sustainable quality standards. Upon completion, TEDU will be positioned as one of the pioneering universities in Türkiye to have implemented a holistic digital transformation program of this magnitude.

A Triple Transformation Model: OneCore, OnePulse, and OneExcellence

The main components of the transformation have been designed under the TEDUOne umbrella as OneCore, OnePulse, and OneExcellence:

  • OneCore: Strengthens institutional management processes.
  • OnePulse: Transforms the student life cycle into a proactive structure.
  • OneExcellence: Simplifies and standardizes all processes to create a unified structure across the institution.

This integrated model establishes a system that increases institutional transparency, accelerates decision-making, and proactively manages student success. Consequently, reporting times are expected to decrease by 30%, while manual data entry is projected to drop by 40%.

Within the scope of OnePulse, the entire student journey—from prospective status to graduation—will be monitored and managed through a single system. By leveraging artificial intelligence to identify students at risk early on, the university targets a 10% reduction in dropout rates, a 5% increase in staff productivity in support processes, and a 20% reduction in cost per request.
