Our university has achieved an important success within the scope of the European Union Horizon Europe - Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) program.

Disaster Studies focused "Beyond Epicenters: Assessing Earthquake Vulnerability Through Economic and Social Networks“ with the acronym ”Beyond Epicenters" has been awarded funding by the European Commission.

The 48-month project aims to analyze the chain effects of disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis on economic, social and infrastructural networks and to develop innovative risk assessment models through the examples of Turkey, Morocco and Portugal.

Prof. Dr. Nazire Nergiz Dinçer, a faculty member of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, is the project coordinator and Prof. Dr. Ayça Tekin-Koru is the researcher in the project.

A strong international consortium of universities and SMEs from Portugal, Germany, Norway, Turkey, Ukraine, Morocco and Azerbaijan are working together on the project.

We extend our congratulations to our esteemed academics for this proud achievement and wish TEDU's international research and social impact-oriented studies to continue to increase.
