Course Objectives

The major aim of this course is to provide students an in-depth understanding of the inter-relationship between international law and world politics.

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Identify and describe the key concepts and approaches concerning the role of international law on the structuration of world politics.
2. Analyze the constitutive impact of politics on international law.
3. Distinguish political interpretation and legal interpretation of treaties.
4. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge on the impact of international law to foreign policy making process.
5. Relate theoretical and conceptual knowledge of international law to practice
6. Find and use materials including international legal texts and journals.
7. Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
8. Construct well-structured arguments.
