This course examines business ethics both at individual and organizational level. The course aims to increase students’ ethical awareness. Business ethics’ impact on decision making processes is examined and students are encouraged to make ethical decisions. Models that are used in conflict resolution are also studied.
Students will use MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) to work on their weekly assignments about 2 hours a week.
Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Discuss and evaluate various organizational influences affecting ethical decisions
2. Present and analyze ethical and moral issues
3. Explore ethical theories
4. Identify and evaluate business ethics theory and corporate social responsibility
5. Identify, interpret, and analyze the global, political, social, environmental, technological and cultural context of the business environment
6. Articulate issues in business ethics, the ethical business environment and their potential effect on personal, managerial and corporate decisions.
