Cansu Çakmak Özgürel

Cansu Çakmak Özgürel holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Hacettepe University. She also received her MA in British Cultural Studies and her PhD in English Language and Literature from Hacettepe University. She teaches courses such as EAP (ENG 101, 102, and 204) and has a particular interest in EAP. Her research and professional interests include the contemporary British novel and cultural theories. She has 15 years of experience teaching English at the university level and has previously worked at Kocaeli University and UTAA (University of Turkish Aeronautical Association). She has presented papers on contemporary fiction, utopian studies, and gender studies at national and international conferences. She is also a member of professional organisations such as IDEA and ESSE.
