Microeconomic methodologies in analyzing the role of the factors of production such as labor, physical capital, human capital, social capital, natural resources, and entrepreneurship in urban and regional economic development. Importance of institutions and governance in urban and regional development. Economic and social improvements as measures of urban and regional development-better quality infrastructures, improved community services, diverse goods and services, lower unemployment, rising average wealth, and improved quality of life.
