Historical and theoretical development of ecocriticism as a field that analyzes the relations between the environment and literature from the 1990s onwards. Contemporary approaches including material ecocriticism, posthuman ecocriticism, dark ecology, blue humanities, and ecomusicology to selected literary texts.
