Course Objectives

This course serves as an overview of the tools, methods and processes that are required to develop and analyze business strategy of an organization. From the perspective of top-level management, organization’s resources and competences are identified. Given those facts and the macro environmental conditions, suitable business strategies are discussed.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Recall the Strategic Management Process to analyze and improve organizational performance
2. Describe an organization's strategic position (vision, goals & performance)
3. Conduct industry analyses (external analyses of an organization's environment & internal analyses of an organization's and competitors’ capabilities)
4. Formulate and report realistic strategies
5. Develop strategic control systems (oversight) to support those strategies
