Course Objectives

Light and therefore color are two effective inputs of industrial design for many reasons such as visual, aesthetic, psychological, physiological and technical issues. This course aims to enable students to use light and color effectively in their design processes to achieve stronger results.

Course Learning Outcomes

1. Explain color systems and theories of color.
2. Describe the color properties (of anything) by using color terminology.
3. Apply color harmonies and composition of color while designing.
4. Experiment color psychology and physiology to create “moods” on their designs.
5. Recognize the significance of color and its application methods in design process.
6. Build their own ways of combining “color and light” with “form and space” on their designs.
