This course aims to develop skills of problem-solving, analytical thinking, visualizing and considering problems from a geometric perspective. It enables students to express and solve systems of linear equations in terms of concepts of matrices and determinants. It also targets to evaluate eigenvalues, eigenvectors and identify bases for vector spaces.
Upon successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
1. Determine solutions for systems of linear equations,
2. Apply basic operations on matrices,
3. Calculate determinants,
4. Evaluate dot and cross products of vectors,
5. Interpret plane and line equations in three-dimensional space,
6. Express bases for vector spaces,
7. Determine eigenvalues and eigenvectors of square matrices.
