Catalog Description
Modes of heat transfer: conduction, convection and radiation. Steady and transient one and multi-dimensional heat conduction in systems. Numerical methods and special applications. Internal and external laminar and turbulent forced convection. Heat transfer by radiation. Fundamentals of heat exchangers.
Course Objectives
The course aims to introduce students the modes of heat transfer including conduction, convection, and radiation with the help of basic equations, applications, and numerical and theoretical calculations.
