Short Biography of Assist. Prof. Kubilay Gök

Kubilay Gok (PhD) is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management in the Department of Management of the Faculty of Management and Leadership at Abdullah Gul University. Before joining to AGU, Dr. Gok was a Faculty Member of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management in the Faculty of Management at the University of Lethbridge of Alberta, Canada. He earned his PhD degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Gok worked for Turkiye Ziraat Bankasi as a Personnel Training and Development Specialist (Uzman Yardimcisi) from 1987 to 1988 before he assumed his job as research assistant at the University of Ankara. He taught at the Department of Sociology of the University of Wisconsin, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, and Cardinal Stritch University for eight years before moving to University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, where he we worked five years. Dr. Gok studies attribution theory applied to performance management and organizational failure, cross cultural organizational behavior with a specific focus on gender and leadership, gender roles and organizational citizenship, and leader-member exchange and leader reinforcement styles, abusive leadership, and entrepreneurship.
