Basic knowledge of the theoretical basis for theories of psychodynamic psychotherapy. History and foundations of psychodynamic theories. Main perspectives and assumptions of object-relations theory, self- psychology, and attachment theory. Contribution of psychodynamic theories for understanding individuals and the practice of psychotherapy.
