Course Objectives

The major objective of this course is to provide the students an overview of the key concepts and principles of international law of the sea. The course aims to familiarize the students with contemporary issues in the international law of the sea.

Course Learning Outcomes

Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Describe key concepts and principles of international law of the sea.
2. Identify and critically assess legal framework for maritime activities.
3. Critically analyze international disputes relating to maritime affairs.
4. Develop key skills of legal reasoning and argument.
5. Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
