Upon succesful completion of this course, a student will be able to
1. Analyze different approaches to classroom management and the effects of those approaches on the cognitive, social, moral, and emotional development of children.
2. Discuss how the various components of the design process (student diversity, developmental levels, technology, instructional design, room arrangement, and assessment techniques) influence the classroom community and climate.
3. Critique the different learning theories and their impact on the design of learning experiences for children.
4. Explain how instructional technology can be effectively implemented in creating rich and stimulating learning environments.
5. Devise a comprehensive plan for designing and managing a learning environment that fosters democratic and cooperative participation in a real or simulated teaching situation.
