The main objective of this course is to present students with a more interdisciplinary approach to literary and cultural scholarship, which brings together this area with philosophy and natural sciences, by challenging conventional tools and strategies employed in philological studies.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1.Develop a foundation for long-term awareness of environmental concerns in the humanities in a global context,
2.Define key terms and concepts of environmental humanities,
3.Analyze a wide range of literary and visual texts from diverse critical perspectives in environmental humanities,
4.Discuss various scholarly work produced in the field of environmental humanities and how that contributes to the development of literary critique.
