Mathematics in different civilizations. Contributions of the mathematics to the society. Development of mathematics throughout the ages as a collective activity. Women in mathematics field. Integrating the history of mathematics with mathematics education. Current trends in mathematics.
Course Objectives

The main aims of this course are providing students a deep understanding of origins and the developmental processes of the mathematical concepts in different time periods and across different cultures and providing a point of view about  the role of mathematics in social, philosophical, religious, and scientific developments.
